​Chasdei Hashem Torah Tech has been able to make all of it's services free of charge since the inception of the TorahDownloads website back in 2006. We depend on the dedicated volunteers who share the goal of harbotzos Torah. Without any overhead staffing costs Torah Tech has been fortunate to keep expenses to a bare minimum.

With the advance of MP3 audio digitization the distribution of the many Torah audio tapes had begun to decline. TorahDownloads initially undertook to convert many thousands of Torah audio cassettes into MP3 digital format. This formed the foundation for what later developed into TorahDownloads.com.​

The TorahDownloads database system powers the audio platform for a multitude of Yeshiva, school and institutional websites that offer Torah education classes. The database also powers the audio websites for variety of prominent maggidei shiur (speakers).​ In an effort to maximize habotzos Torah, service is free of charge. ​
